How many 1982 d small date pennies were minted?

Question: I would like to know how many 1982 d small date us cents were minted.

My Answer: Nick, as far as I know, the Mint has never released the mintage breakdown for the 1982 types of cents, other than reporting the total number of one cent coins minted at each mint.

Philadelphia (no mint mark) - 10,712,525,000

Denver (D) - 6,012,979,368

There are seven types of 1982 cents. Three types are made of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc and include the small date and large date coins made in Philadelphia (no mint mark) and the cents made in Denver (D).

The other four types were made of 99.2% zinc and .8% copper and include the large and small date cents minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark) and the large and small date cents minted in Denver (D).

Cu v. Zn penny durability NEW

I've been collecting 1982 pennies for 18 years and have accumulated 30 zinc cents and 119 copper type. I assumed they were minted at an equal number and the disparity was due to the zinc coin tending to dissolve. With the premise of equal numbered minting now only speculative I don't know what to think. Can further inquiries find more precision in the break down of copper v. zinc?

Hope this helps out i have no idea as to the numbers of small dates made . Identifying one is hard for a bit but once you see one its over . They are all smallish but the upper part of the 8 will remind you of a snowman the top is minute the space rim to date is extremely large In comparison and the 8 sets lower tha. The rest of the date . Two have been verified. So have it graded then send that sucker to auction. Speculation on an verified specimen is 6 figures easily. Have fun luck to all

Hello hello, I literally just started my search 2 days ago when I found out how this 1982 penny could bring upto 6 figures. So crazy! How can someone pay for a coin that is made to be used for $0.01, pay upto 6 figures for it?? But hey, you won't hear any complaints from me if someone wants to pay me upto 6 figures for the 2 I just found.At least I hope they are legit. I have been comparing the 1982 D small print pennies to the 1983 penny(because it does have the smaller print). Again I'm just getting started on all of this but, please be honest when I ask, is this a cut throat kind of thing where I need to watch out on who I talk to and deal with or is this a somewhat decent honest collecting that I can believe when someone is giving me pointers?
